Description
Fan with twenty-one bone sticks and two guards and leaf of goose feathers edged with eiderdown. Sticks and guards pierced with geometric motifs. Goose feathers individually dyed black, purple, pink, white, blue and yellow. Obverse leaf painted with peacocks, butterflies and peonies in blue, green and red, block-printed with gilt leaves. Reverse leaf painted with peonies in blue, green and red, block-printed with gilt leaves with green painted spot at base of each leaf. Metal pivot with small mother-of-pearl washer.
